KEEPING YOUR HEAD ABOVE WATER YOUTH AND COMMUNITY AWARDS SHOW developed to celebrate the successes of children from the elementary grades to grade 12. Young children need to be encouraged to strive for excellence early so they understand what it means to work hard and excel.

Celebrates the achievement of youth from Grades 1-12. Awards youth for achievements in:

• Community service
• Sports
• Science
• Technology
• Creative Writing
• Performing Arts
• Academics

Anger Management

Why We Are Here afterschool programs in anger management were developed because many youth today are very angry and do not know how to cope. WHY WE ARE HERE works with children to teach them these skills for life. Programs are offered in school settings or community settings email info@whywearehere.com for additional information.

Why We Are Here Organization Presents 2nd Annual Summer Literacy Contest

 

Are you an Author? Do you have a story to tell?

Share your writing skills in the Why We Are Here Summer Literacy Contest.

The submission can be a short story, essay, or poem . It must be an original piece of work done by you, the student.

Length for writing pieces:

2-6 Pages Only, Clear Type (no Script, Italics or Decorative Fonts), Double Spaced

OR

3 Pages Only, Clear Printing, Double Spaced, make a copy for yourself
(1-Inch Margins All Around All Entries)
